Ideas Worth Spreading

Posted by kapongola on June 7, 2008

Their mission goes as “Spreading Ideas”, passionately believing in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world.

The site provides great ideas from the world’s most inspired thinkers. Most importantly, the knowledge is offered freely.

It is my sincere hope that visiting TED will change your life somehow. Please visit TED for a number of inspired talks that will help you in building positive thinking.

For those who will be interested to download the material, follow the process below

1. Open TED website (obviously)

2. Check for the video you would like to download (not difficult to find the way)

3. Below every TED video window you have a link which says “VIDEO to desktop (Zipped MP4). You can download the video through that link. To download the zipped MP4 file, right click on the link and chose Save as or just left click on it (you will be asked to identify a directory where to save the file).

4. When the file is already saved, unzip/extract it by i) right click on the file on your hard disk and choose unzip or unrar (ZIP or RAR)) and

5. Use a video player to watch the MP4 video (the file you have just unzipped), for example vlc-player or gom player (freeware)

6. The other links, like Audio

<http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/download/audio/120/talk/159>

(MP3) or Hi-res Video

<http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/download/video/2349/talk/159>

(MP4)

Work similar but do not come with all videos and demand sometimes other procedures.

If you face problems, feel free to contact me.

Best wishes!
